Spring/Summer 2012

Israel

Shalom Y'all:-) As you can see Carolyn and I have just returned from a wonderful 10 day all expenses paid, but totally unexpected trip to Israel.

God provided it all! Our group was Pastor Dave and his wife Nancy, students, Interns, friends and some new friends from Texas! Hence the Shalom Y'all:-)

What a delightful time in the Holy Land.  God has blessed us extravagantly!

If you would like to read more about how we ended up in Israel or for more information on the trip click here and I will send you an email, or to hear about it click to hear my sermon on Isaiah 46 as I taught on Sunday 10 June at Calvary Chapel York,  about God's amazing provision for us.  "God carries us from the womb to the tomb....and beyond..... to heaven!"

We visited so many wonderful places, and had two amazing guides, but here is a quick highlights package:-) We started in Tel Aviv and had a lovely view of Joppa from our window.  Remembering Peter, (Acts 9:36-42 -10:23) contrasted to Jonah at Joppa running away from the task God had for him. (Jonah 1:3)

We then flew into Germany to attend our friend's wedding in Siegen.  It was such a blessing to be there for their special day. God also blessed us with time to catch up with our dear friends as they prepared for their special day and also to catch up with other friends from Austria and Germany.  God is good!

What's Next

Carolyn & I  have just finished our first Semester in our new roles. Carolyn is in charge of Student Admissions and I am the Registrar.  I am still teaching and Dean of Men but it has meant the semester was extremely busy, but as you can see God blessed us with a wonderful holiday and will never be outdone by what we do for Him. It is such a privilege being here serving Jesus here in York, alongside Pastor Dave and his wife Nancy and the staff here at CCBC York, we are truly blessed.

Please keep us in your prayer as Carolyn works through all of the admissions for Fall Semester and as I complete all of my work as Registrar and prepare for my classes.

God bless you all, and thanks for being part of our lives and for your prayers and support in what we are doing here in York.
